Tonight on Patriot Action Live

It’s another Thursday night and as such we are happy to bring you another timely episode of Patriot Action Live. Coming at you at 8pm Eastern, 5 PM Pacific we are going to be talking about what’s going on amidst the political scene in America as we, once more, take up the conservative cause fighting the good fight for the causes that are important to us all.

To start out tonight’s show, just when you though the Partisanship of the Democratic Party couldn’t possibly sink any lower, they go and prove that there is no depth they are unwilling to sink to.

Apparently the lines have been drawn. We have seen it over and over again as the White House launched its assault against Fox News rather than handling the issues important to the people. Well now they are at it again. This time though they are warning their strategists about fraternizing with the enemy, as they tell them not to appear on Fox. One even got a call from the White House telling him that this better not happen again…

So much for freedom and the new age of bi-partisanship in Barack Obama’s America.

Then, continuing on with our theme tonight of freedom of speech and freedom of the press we will be talking about the White House’s continued assault on it.

The Department of Justice has sent requests to an independent news site that all of their information should be provided to them, including everything they have on the people who visit their site. They want IP addresses and anything that can identify the readers to them. When asked to comment on it the response was a deafening, “No comment.”

Well that’s grand isn’t it? While they assault freedom in America we can’t even question them, and when we do they just put up their wall so we get nowhere… just plain wonderful.

Then finally we will be talking about Obama and the World yet again.

Too busy to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall once again our President has decided “Hey, let’s snub our allies. It just never seems to stop, does it? But then why are we surprised, Poland invited him there for the anniversary memorial of the Nazi invasion and they couldn’t get him to respond. This is just the continued icing on the cake. It’s nice to see though that he is so hard at work making the world love us.

How did we get stuck with this guy again?

From those earliest of days when brave men left their farms to defend the principles of independence and freedom, standing up against tyranny and oppression from a far distant capital to our modern age where our troops preserve and defend the cause of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, we have been blessed with the best and the bravest the world has to offer. The noble character of the American solider has been, without question or doubt, the integrity by which this nation has been sustained with. Each and every one of us, we owe them a debt of gratitude for their service through every chapter of our history that we can never hope to repay.

How could we ever hope to after all? They put on a uniform and the stand in defense of all of us, willing to give up their hopes and dreams, all that they are and all that they ever might be, that we might be able to stand free to think and to do and to be. They are the ones who make that firm stand for freedom, justice and liberty, never wavering in their commitment to us and to the nation that they so love and hold dear.

Tonight on Patriot Action Live, we are leaving the politics at the door as we talk about that service and that debt and all that it means to us.

Yes there are still issues to discuss and debate, but as we consider that and the dialogue that we have, it’s important to remember that we would not have the system we have nor the freedoms that we enjoy if it wasn’t for the soldiers standing ever vigilant and ever faithful, ready to give of themselves and to sacrifice. Thus it is right and fitting that we would dedicate our time to honor them amidst our lives, setting aside the agendas and the policies that separate us to come together and remember them and all that they do.

Tonight on Patriot Action Live

Well it’s time for another Patriot Action Thursday. Coming at you at 8pm EST, 5pm Pacific we have a great show lined up tonight as we tackle the issues and talk about what’s going on around the country.

Tonight’s show begins as we talk about the hero worship of the Great and Mighty Oz yet again. It just never seems to end, does it?

A while ago we talked about the video making waves. An elementary school singing praises to the President done to the tune of hymns, re-written in the most brazen of ways. Well now, new from Big Hollywood, another day, another video. They are continuing to go after elementary and High School age students to promote the Obama as more than a man, as someone who deserves our praise and our worship. It is the worst sort of idolatry and social engineering, and a frightening prospect for the future of America. Again we will be delving into this issue as we discuss why this is so alarming and what it has the potential of meaning for America.

Then we will be talking about the “Stimulus” Package yet again as we take a hard look at the spin that is being used to promote the idea that this failed idea worked.

There is apparently much to be proud of in regards to the Economic Recovery Act foisted upon the American people. It saved 935 jobs Southwest Georgia Community Action Council. The problem is that only 508 people are employed there. And so it seems to be with this Administration. According to a review by the Associated Press two thirds of the 14.506 jobs saved within one federal agency weren’t actually saved at all. Apparently when they talk about jobs being saved they are referring to salary increases for employees already employed.

A little bit of a difference there guys.

Then finally, we will be talking about the White House’s continued war against the internet. It would seem that the President is ready to push through measures, in the name of national security, to make it harder for people to get content online. Amidst the new legislation that has leaked, a requirement that would force Internet Service Providers to police and shut down those they consider to be repeat copyright infringers. Oh but don’t worry, your rights will be protected, even though they don’t need evidence or a trial.

Oh, what’s a constitution again?

It’s Tuesday night, and as such we all know what that means. It’s time for Patriot Action Live to come at you. With another action filled hour we are ready to come back at 8pm EST, 5pm Pacific with a lively discussion about what’s going on around the political theater in America today.

To start off our show we are going to be once more covering the ongoing saga of Democrat in Republican’s clothing, Dede Scozzafava, though let’s just say that if that is her Halloween costume, it may have been scary but not convincing.

After finding her support dried up and that few people were taking this ethically challenged, third tier ACORN and big union backed candidate seriously, she decided to suspend her campaign. No longer would she be running in the special election for New York’s 23rd district. But rather than showing any loyalty or commitment to the cause she backed the Democrat in the race, Bill Owen, even as she had the chance to get behind real conservative Doug Hoffman. I bet Newt is feeling like a real tool right now.

Then we will be talking about the ongoing blind eye of justice…

Okay, so first there was the New Black Panther Party and the Justice Department’s flagrant disregarding of their election violations. Threatening voters outside of a Pennsylvania polling station, even Democrats alive during the fight for civil rights called it the worst election travesties they have seen in trying to disenfranchise voters. Now though we have Democrats gang bangers “campaigning for the Democratic Party talking about how they know where people live. Got to love the New Jersey Democratic Party, or you would perhaps if this was the first time something like this happened there. Don’t worry though, the Justice Department will probably ignore this too.

Then finally we will be ending our show with more talk about the Crap and Trade bill that is now before the Senate.

While Republican Members of the Environment Committee are asking for time to deliberate on the bill, rather than just trying to have something that will raise taxes by an estimated 15 percent and kill what is left of American manufacturing, Barbara Boxer is ready to push ahead. She doesn’t need to think about it or to question it. After all, why would she, it’s a Democrat measure, they know what’s best for all of us all of the time.

Oh yeah, it’s been a crazy time.

Well it’s Thursday night, so it must mean that it’s time for some Patriot Action Live to come at you at 8pm EST, 5pm Pacific.

It’s the last show of the month and we are looking forward to bringing a great show to you.

To start up our lineup we will be talking about the economic stimulus and recovery plans of the White House yet again. In a preliminary report it is found that the Administration has overstated the number of jobs that have been created or saved by thousands, a mistake that the White House has promised to correct in future reports. Yet as the facts come out we are forced to question, was it a simple mistake, as they have claimed, innocent enough in its nature or is it an attempt to overstate the work that has been done as the Democrats try desperately to justify the massive spending that went along with the Stimulus Package and the lack of results we have seen. It all just seems to strange, too well planned out to be just a honest mistake. But then that seems like it is par for the course.

Then we will be talking about the attempts by the religious left to try and infuse themselves onto the realm of the government and the media as they abandon their primary role to minister and form the “Interfaith Coalition for Media Justice”, lobbying for a limit to be put on opponents of the Administration and its agenda. They are calling right wing and conservative broadcasts hate speech as they desperately try to impose their will on the people with no thought or consideration as to their role or place in society, showing that the lessons of Christ and his teachings are apparently lost on them.

Finally we will be talking yet another trip to Florida. Charlie Crist, the Governor of the Sunshine State should have an easy road paved for him as he seeks the Republican nod for the United States Senate. But it would seem that it would be anything but. Now, in order to keep his chances alive and stay ahead in the polls he is launching the worst sort of personal attacks against his opponent Marco Rubio, showing just how desperate he is. It all just seems like a bit of a parody of a campaign as he shows himself to be ill equipped or unable to handle the pressures of the campaign.

For Once Barney Tells it As It Is

I often times wonder, if I repeatedly took kicks to the head by a mule could I possibly be as stupid as the Congresscreature from Massachusetts’s 4th District… I really don’t know, good ole Barney seems to be in a league of his own, doesn’t he?

Leave it to Barney Fife, sitting back with that smug, arrogant look on his face he occasionally has moments where he actually does say what he means, casting off the mask to expose the full extent of his socialist demeanor for the whole world to see. Recently it was his admission on The Ed Show, where he told Ralph Nader and host Ed Schultz, “The fact is that we have a political situation, and I tell you, here’s the real irony of it, the right wing took control of government and ruined it. They gave it a bad reputation. Now that we are trying at every front to increase the role of government in the regulatory area we run into this public opinion that says ‘Hey, those are the guys who screwed up Katrina.’ So the frustration is they are benefiting from their own incompetence.”

Where do you even start with a statement like that? I mean it is so riddled with stupidity that it makes it impossible to even know where to begin.

To begin with government has a bad reputation because it has bungled and mismanaged everything that it has touched. The fact that bloated and corrupt nitwits like Barney have remained in positions of authority for the past three decades doesn’t help either. But then that’s just him, he only likes regulations when it doesn’t interfere with prostitution rings that are ran out of his house…

The fact that he would use Katrina amidst all of this is pretty telling also. Last I checked the Clinton Administration, then in its last year, really didn’t do that well with FEMA. There is a myth that somehow Katrina was the Republican’s disaster. Yet when Hurricane Floyd hit in 1999 Bill Clinton, a Democrat, was in charge. Yet the Federal Emergency Management Agency didn’t do much better than it did with Katrina, the difference? Katrina was much worse and Floyd hit when FEMA was supposed to be at its best.

What’s perhaps the most telling though is the fact that our dear friend, the Congresscritter from Massachusetts, told us all that we need to know about the Democrat agenda. It’s not there to make government work better, nor is it there to make it more efficient. They are there for one purpose and one purpose alone, to try and expand the size and the role of the government in the lives of the people. They have tried “at every front to increase the role of government” yet the public is opposed to it.

Doesn’t that just tell it all right there? This has nothing to do with what’s best for the people, otherwise he wouldn’t be playing these games about FEMA or Katrina. It is about them imposing themselves on the people.

So Scary

Oh well, now here’s a threat…

You have to admit, it’s almost amusing to watch as Moveon.org tries so desperately to prove they have any clout whatsoever, let alone the clout to actually start ousting Congressmen. Actually it would be amusing if it wasn’t quite as sad as it was.

Go and ask Ned Lamont how effective their support really and truly was, after all he was their golden boy, the man who was supposed to end the career of Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman. Yet, despite all the support Moveon.org gave him he still wasn’t able to touch Lieberman even as the junior Senator was forced to run as an independent in the election, having lost the party nod.

The only people who really care about this tired old organization of political hacks and half wits are the radical left of the Democratic Party who somehow believe that they are relevant and that they hold political power. In the end they are nothing more than a bunch of buffoons running around playing politics while offering little to nothing that the voters actually want or need. They are the shadow of political hatchet men trying desperately to pretend like they are big players, capable of making or breaking a campaign when the truth is that they serve little purpose or point but to dance like circus bears.

Anyone who actually takes their threats seriously deserve to be laughed out of Congress…

Yet that’s not going to stop them from roaring. Moveon.org has announced that any Democrat who does not back the Government Run, Public Option, they are going right on their hit list. That’s right, they couldn’t even defeat one Senator in Connecticut taking over one of the major parties, but boy oh boy, they are going to win in forty or fifty congressional districts... Yeah, that must be it…

Seriously, it’s sad to believe that they haven’t gotten to the point where they have finally come to realize that they are an absolutely worthless organization that runs some of the worst ads out there, polarizing more people against them. But then they disregard their principles to support a candidate who, let’s face it, should never have been their first choice if they stuck to their ideals and they think they are suddenly important. Here’s a newsflash, with or without their support the Great and Mighty Oz would have won.

Bunch of two bit thug wannabee’s, listening to them is a lot like listening to the captain of the chess club talk about how he’s going to beat up the whole football team at once…

But please, do threaten away, I am sure you have a bunch of Democrats shaking in their boots.

Amusing to Say the Least

She has to be trying to set the record for the quickest backtrack ever made.

You have to admit it didn’t take Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett long to try and back peddle from her statements. In one breath Fox News is biased, the next they aren’t. So apparently they are but they aren’t a wing of the Republican Party?

You know, the one thing this Administration and the Great and Mighty Oz was good at has been attacking their opponents and their critics. They really did excel at that. These days it really doesn’t even seem like they are even capable of doing that anymore. If they can’t do that then what is really left to them?

What gets to me though is the fact that it almost seems as if they somehow believe all of these lines that they are feeding to people, as if they are really and truly convinced that all they are doing is revealing a pattern of distortion. How often have people tuned in to watch the Chrissy Matthews, Beaker Olbermann, Rachel Meadows and Ed Schultz struggle with reality, unable, for the life of them, to grasp it? How many times have they let CNN slip on the facts because it helped to sell their agenda? They remain remarkably silent.

Actually, in fact, they let their supporters build a case based around inaccurate news stories and faulty reporting that comes from these networks with little concern about it.

Why would they concern themselves though? After all it helps them, and it’s not a distortion if it does.

Still, if the Administration was serious about “calling” people out, if the Democratic National Committee was really committed to it then they would have a field day with it. It will be a cold, cold day before they do though, because they are only concerned with questions being raised that would prevent them from ramming their agenda down people’s throats.

Regardless though it is pretty telling how quickly Jarrett started to back track on her statements. The truth is that, as they wage their little pseudo war on Fox News, it’s only their credibility that ends up getting hurt. Maybe they’re finally starting to learn, though I wouldn’t bet on it…

More than likely they are just starting to see the fruits of their labor and it’s not painting a pretty picture for them as they realize they aren’t winning and that they are wasting whatever political capital they have left fighting against a news network. Whatever it is it is funny to watch.

Maybe one of these days the Great and Mighty Oz and his people will actually even come to understand that they weren’t elected to take on Fox News, they were put there to do a job…. They just won’t end up doing it even then.

Just Turn Them In

How is that for class? Want to earn a quick buck? Move to Chicago and turn in your neighbors…

That’s right, in Cook County, if you want to be a good citizen and make some money doing it all you need to do is squeal on your neighbors. If you suspect businesses of not paying their taxes or cheating on them somehow then all you need to do is call up Big Brother and they will give you a percentage of the withheld loot as a bounty for your good work. Maybe it will help offset the huge tax increases they are levying against you.

Right there, that should tell you about all you need to know. The thug politics of the Chicago machine have taken a giant leap forward today to turn the city into a third world dictatorship. Seriously, this has cultural revolution written all over it. In places like China during the reign of Mao or Iraq under the authority of Saddam Hussein, Russian during the Communist Regime you would expect the government to come out with the old line of turn in your neighbors for fun and profit and you will be a good citizen. Not in America.

I am not saying people should be allowed to get away with tax evasion; it is a crime that should be taken very seriously. Something seems wrong though with coming in and telling people to turn against other people for a few dollars in their pocket. It is the worst sort of draconian tactics because the government can’t manage to do its job. Where does it end? With competitors turning in their competition, making claims against them to tie them up in legal problems for a while? It is the worst sort of standard to set as Cook County tries to make everyone into an agent for the government.

It really has to make you wonder exactly what these guys are going to come up with next but knowing Chicago it will be something equally as contemptuous.

You have to sincerely wonder how far it is going to go as they try to create this Orwellian society that seems like it’s right out of 1984. What? Thought Police? It seems like the logical next step in this sort of social engineering as they build a society where everybody needs to be suspicious of everyone else, afraid of being turned in to the government or not turning someone in to it.

Oh well, maybe this will finally encourage ACORN to turn in Pimps and Prostitutes who want to evade there taxes… well maybe not… Still a good play right out of Obama's Book... Good to see he is capable of teaching Chicago a thing or two.

Tonight on Patriot Action Live

Well it’s Tuesday night and so Patriot Action Live is going to be coming at you at 8pm Eastern Standard Time, 5pm Pacific.

Tonight’s show is going to be a lively one as we continue to take on the issue that are making the headlines right now.

Heading up our show line up we will be continuing our coverage of the politicizing of the National Endowment for the Arts. Last week at the 2009 Grantmakers in the Arts Conference Obama appointee Rocco Landesman gave a rather telling speech. Comparing our Fearless Leader to Caesar he said he was the first President since Teddy Roosevelt to write his own books, and the first one to write them well since Abraham Lincoln.

Perhaps that’s telling since Lincoln never wrote a book and many other Presidents during the period between Roosevelt and Obama wrote books. That is unless I am just imagining the copies of Profiles in Courage, No More Vietnams and Six Crises on my bookshelf. A number of Presidents have written their own works since Teddy Roosevelt wrote his last book.

Even more concerning though is the reference to Caesar . Caesar set himself to destroy the Republic and establish himself as the new King of Rome. To compare the Great and Mighty Oz to him is a bit of a wonder…

Then we will be talking about more Green Madness…

Just when you think they can’t get more ridiculous in their fight to make Global Climate Change suddenly credible as a science the United Nations appoints Tinker Bell, that’s right, the homicidal stalker fairy from Peter Pan and the star of the Disney Fairy line, an ambassador to the Environment and Lord Stern, the British Economist, tells us we are all doomed if we don’t stop eating meat. Where exactly do they come up with this stuff? It’s absolutely absurd.

If it wasn’t the United Nations and it was Global Climate Change “Experts” you’d swear that these guys have gone off their rockers. Yet it’s just par for the course for them as they push forward their radical agenda, seeking out their own path, trying desperately to guilt, indoctrinate and generally socially engineer their changes into our mentality.

Finally we will be talking about the United Nations once again in a story we mentioned on Voice of the Opposition the other day.

With all the human rights abuses around the world the UN is targeting the United States as they investigate the state of public housing in the United States as a potential human rights violation. Because, well you know, their complete bungling of genocide in other countries have given them so much moral authority to talk about human rights violations and abuses. That must be it.

Joe Goes His Own Way

You know what, I would trade 12 Arlen Specters for one Joe Lieberman any day of the week. Whereas you could always count on the Senior Senator from Pennsylvania to take the liberal road while claiming to be a Republican, abandoning even the most basic of conservative principles, even the most basic of sound fiscal policies, his Independent Connecticut counterpart will actually make a stand and will oppose the leadership of the party he rose to the heights of as their Vice Presidential Candidate for the people.

Even as the Democrats begin to once more push for a government run public option for Health Care “Reform”, Lieberman isn’t poising himself as a Democrat or a Republican, he is putting himself in the center of the fray as a man who will transcend party to make a stand based on what he believes to be right. Risking any and all esteem that the Democratic Party, which he caucuses with, has left for him, he has said that he will oppose their plans, and any plan that has a clause in it that propels forward the idea of Government Run Health Care.

Showing a grasp for the issue that so many of his colleagues have failed thus far to understand Lieberman realizes that this will create a fiscally irresponsible government entitlement program that will cost the taxpayers trillions of dollars that they just don’t have. In the end the price tag will be just too high and the quality of service, it’s not going to go up. In the end they will end up getting less for more. Less service for more money.

That seems to be even the most basic of concepts that has been lost on one time RINO's like Specter, who have bucked their own party and their own voters in order to back the Democrat agenda, somehow believing they have a magic solution to Health Care that everyone else in the country has missed.

The simple truth of the matter is that the program is essentially unsustainable. As the government levies its unfair competitive practices, going back to the well more and more, picking the pockets of taxpayers in order to make this program work, treating the public coffers as their goose that laid the golden egg, insurance companies will be unable to compete. In the end people will turn more and more towards government run health care until it’s the only “choice” that’s out there. The price will keep going up and up, and in the end, while we pretended like it was fiscally sustainable for a while, the reality starts to set in and we are left with something that costs more than we ever imagined and is unable to work the way we were told it would.

Welcome to the way government tries to “solve” a problem…

Lieberman is on the right track, now let’s hope some of his colleagues wake up and get there with him before this ill conceived plan is rammed down our throats.

Does He Ever Shut Up

Maybe he’s taking lessons from Pete Stark…

You really have to hand it to the Boy Wonder down there in Florida. Here is a man who can’t stop playing the fool as he proves that there is nothing that he won’t say and no depths he won’t sink to.

Let’s say that a Member of Congress made a comment where he called a African American a sperm donor to make a cheap political point, saying that the man is first to abandon his principles when he is held accountable to them. Chances are this “Representative” would be called all sorts of names, whatever else it may be. Rightly so. Through his ignorance and his hubris he would have played into the worst sort of name calling, racism and bigotry.

Why then is it alright for Alan Grayson, Florida’s answer to a question that has no point, to call a aide to the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernacke a whore in order to score cheap political points?

Say what you will about the Fed, many of us have strong feelings about it, but there is nothing acceptable about Grayson’s comments calling Linda Robertson a K-Street Whore. It is sexist, bigoted and the worst sort of name calling based on unenlightened thought and hateful spite. But it’s okay, because she talked about economics and he found it insulting because he worked as an economist… for two years before going back to school to pursue graduate studies.

But then how are we to expect any better from the Congresscreature from Florida’s 8th district, he has proven time and time again that he is not worthy of the position that he has been elected to as he exposes himself as a hate filled partisan hack unable and unwilling to comprehend even the most basic of understandings of anything beyond his own limited view of the world. Over and over again he acts like a child without basic comprehension of the words that are coming out of his mouth, saying whatever first comes to his mind without believing there are going to be consequences to his actions or that he will ever be held accountable. He is a detestable, vile, insufferable little man trying desperately to make himself relevant, knowing that he has little purpose but to serve as a circus sideshow.

This man needs to be chased from not just his place in Congress but any position or place of esteem in society so that we are no longer subjected to his pointless, revolting diatribes. In the end we can only be a better nation for it. But then you want to talk about a whore, how about this attention whore...

Perhaps it’s time for Cruella to stop worrying about fictional violence breaking out and start concerning herself with the despicable comments coming out of her party. Don’t hold your breath waiting though, the only people who can do wrong in her books are the ones who don’t blindly follow her agenda.

Hoffman Takes a Lead

Well now isn’t this interesting…

According to a new poll commissioned by the Club for Growth the leader in the New York Special Election to fill the vacancy in the 23rd District isn’t Republican Dede Scozzafava or Democrat Bill Owens, it’s independent Doug Hoffman, who has gained national recognition in a race that would have otherwise, at any other time, passed with a yawn. Their numbers show Hoffman in ahead of his other competitors with 31 percent. Coming in second? Owens, trailing him by four percent with 27 percent. Then finally it is the ethically challenged Scozzafava with 19 percent.

In the end it may not make a difference. Eight days may prove too long for Hoffman, who has waged his dark horse campaign without the support of either major party, as he secured the Conservative Party nod, to actually pull off the win as much as we may be rooting for the underdog. Still, his popularity in this race is telling.

Let’s face it, the simple fact that a third party, independent candidate is doing so well in this political environment is not by coincidence. Once where there was enthusiastic voters showing up to support the Democratic Party as they took control of Congress they squandered the political good will that was felt towards them. The Republican Party should have been the chief beneficiary of it. Yet, instead of trying to go back to their roots, instead of making an ideological stand, they nominated a contempt filled leftist with no real respect for the voters in her district.

In the end there was nowhere for Hoffman to go but up…

The Conservative Party was founded some forty years ago to battle against liberalism in the New York Republican Party. If there was ever the need for them to make a stand it is against the candidate who the Republicans have put up in this race. It’s here that he has the potential of pulling off the same sort of shocking upset that James Buckley pulled off as the Conservative Party backed candidate for the United States Senate in 1970, when the Democrat and the Republican candidate split the liberal vote and he snuck up the middle. He's already gained major support from Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty and Fred Thompson.

However this race goes it serves as a cautionary tale for the Republican Party. For too long they have taken their conservative base for granted. Despite what the liberals in the Democratic Party would have you believe, the GOP has not been beholden to the right, they have, all too often abandoned it, as they have in New York 23. So long as there is a political vacuum there candidates from the right are going to rise up and the result is either going to be that the vote will be split, as conservatives let them lose, or they are going to lose their influence as the GOP candidate splits the liberal vote or falls from grace and the conservative sneaks in to take their place.

Just a warning that they need to heed.

CNN Slips to the Bottom

Well the White House may consider them to be a real news network while they launch their assault on Fox News but it would seem that CNN, it just doesn’t have the weight that it once had amidst the cable news networks. Once considered the leaders they now find themselves fourth in the ratings, trailing even behind its own sister network, HLN. They attribute it to the fact that people, they want the polarizing opinion based news.

Seriously, that’s the best they have to explain why they are at the bottom of the barrel? They don’t have a better excuse like that?

Really, the only thing that puzzles me about all of this is the idea that CNN doesn’t have a bias. Of course it does. What about CNN isn’t opinion based? Let’s face it, anyone who watches CNN knows that that just isn’t the case. They just try to cloak it with sanctimonious programming. In the meantime they employ Campbell Brown, Wolf Blitzer, Jack Cafferty, Roland Martin, and any other number of liberals who slip their own bias. It’s just not as loud as Keith Olbermann or as obnoxious as Chrissy Matthews.

The real story though is the fact that despite the claims of the other networks that Fox is destroying itself and the attacks by the White House, Fox News remains on top of the ratings. In all of their programming they remain at the height of popularity amongst the other networks. Turns out Eric Cantor was right about that, it has helped more than it has hurt. They aren’t even being phased or shaken by the assaults that are levied against them. In other words, people are watching the criticisms by MSNBC, CNN and the President’s Communication Staff with a bored yawn, failing to associate or respond to them as they make their choice about who it is that they are going to turn to for the news.

Maybe, and this is just a maybe, they are sick and tired of being spoon-fed the regurgitated stories that were spoon-fed to the other networks by the Great and Mighty Oz first.

The simple truth of the matter is that people are turning away from the networks are failing to ask the tough questions, the networks that are ignoring stories that might harm the left in America. They have seen places like CNN, and MSNBC drop the ball time and time again as they have pushed forward the President’s agenda without questioning it and they have had enough. Turns out using your network as nothing more than a propaganda wing of the government is just not paying off. What a shock…

In the end it spells bad news as they find that they just aren’t able to compete. But then what is one to expect when they fail to do their job, and, in turn, fail the public through their negligence…

Save the World, Eat a Partially Gelatinized, Semi-Hydroginated Tofu Flavored Hamburger

You really do have to wonder how these people are considered to be experts on anything, let alone experts who are out there telling us how to live our lives as they try to control our behavior in order to push through their radical agendas.

We all remember the story from a few months ago. If not perhaps we need a refresher. Dr. Alan Carlin, who had been employed by the Environmental Protection Agency, was fired from his job for writing a report that questioned the science behind Global Warming. The EPA argued that he was an economist, not a scientist, so his arguments, they were apparently highly suspect and couldn’t be taken seriously.

Well, now another Economist, the Baron Stern of Brentford, wants us to believe that if we don’t all stop eating meat we are all going to be doomed. It’s our consumption of cows and pigs that cause so much of our woes and if we don’t stop eating them then we are all going to die from the effects of global warming.

The lesson? If an Economist preaches a message of doom and gloom about Global Warming, then we all should be afraid because he is obviously a credible source. If he doesn’t though he should be fired, and disgraced in public.

Never mind the fact that the mass hysteria mentality that is being perpetuated by these so called “experts” is nothing more than a radical leftist agenda aimed at more government regulation and higher taxes to save humanity. Never mind the fact that they have been proven wrong time and time again while refusing to admit it. After all they are trying to rescue us from ourselves.

It really though has to make you wonder. If the solution to Global Warming is to go vegetarian, what exactly do these people want us to do with all the cows? What do they want us to do with all the pigs? After all, it’s not like they aren’t going to stop producing methane just because we stop eating them. In fact, with allowing them to roam free with little above them in the food chain, the population will explode. So should we just slaughter them into extinction? Or is it that we should just until they are on the endangered species list?

Seriously, methane is naturally occurring, it’s not like it can somehow be stopped because we decide that eating cows is going to destroy us all. Then what though? After this hysteria has died down, what will we discover will produce too many greenhouse gases?

Apparently it’s not enough to just go after our cars or our jobs anymore, they are going after our food too. What’s going to be next? Please, I am sure we would all feel better knowing. What will be the next big scare that they will use to try and socially engineer our society according to their radical agenda? Or is it that they just bought the majority shares in Chik-Filet...

Not Likely

Once upon a time I would have cheered on former House Speaker Newt Gingrich once more entering the political fray, this time as a contender for the GOP nomination for the Presidency of the United States. But then once upon a time I had confidence in what he stood for and the way he presented it, as he seemed like a such a strong voice for real conservative values.

But, like so many stories that begin with those four words, it proved to be a fairy tale as he lost my confidence, biting the conservative hand in order to push forward a left wing candidate in New York’s special election, making a stand against the people he once claimed to represent.

There can be little doubt that the Gingrich is remaking himself in an new image in order to make himself more moderate, believing that he will be more palpable to voters. There is little else that can explain his abandoning of principle in the way that he has in order to back Dede Scozzaflava while attacking conservatives.

Now, as there is speculation that he will seek the Republican nod for the 2012 election to face off against Barack Obama, and he does little to try and put down that rumor, there can be little doubt that this is what he has been thinking, the thought that has been running through his mind in all of this. Yet the truth is that if he does, here will be one conservative who can’t quite find it in himself to back this man anymore.

Once where he seemed like a voice from the wilderness trying to lead us back to our conservative path, he has forsaken that in the hopes of making cheap political gains. He has made ill advised, poorly conceived moves that have undermined people’s confidence in him and he has shown himself to be just another politician willing to do what it takes to secure his place. Amidst the current political backdrop that we face, the last thing we need is that. We need a leader and a visionary who is capable of standing up for ideas and principles, rather than wavering in his ideology because of his own ambition.

He can run, just as anyone else can, but when it comes right down to it, I know I won’t be supporting him, not like I once did. I just can’t find it in me anymore to make excuses for him or any other politician that has gone down the road that he has embarked upon.

It’s sad really…

Another Day, Another Spin

And let the spin begin… or at least let it continue… another name, another run at trying to deceive the people it would seem.

Let’s face it, as the Democrats have tried to ram through Government Run Health Care, there is about only one thing we can count on in their rhetoric. It’s hasn’t been answers. They have been remarkably reluctant to give those as they have hoped that we would remain oblivious to what the program would actually mean. It hasn’t been honesty. They have been incredibly disingenuous with every aspect of the debate and the discourse, using the worst sort of fear mongering and scare tactics to try and frighten people.

No, about the only thing we can count on is spin…

In that Cruella, our wondrous Speaker of the House, has a new line to feed us. It’s not a Public Option, it’s “The Consumer Option” or “The Competitive Option.” Apparently their polling and their marketing research has shown that if they just change the name to remove the illusions to a Government takeover people will be more inclined to be led down the primrose path until the system has been so changed and altered that they won’t even notice it until it’s too late.

A stink weed by any other name...

As I have been discussing, especially as of late, there is nothing “Competitive” about this option. It is the government’s way to force the insurance industry out of business, by using public funds and public money to give the impression that they are driving down the cost, all the time robbing the taxpayer’s blind, hoping they won’t turn around long enough to see them pick their pockets. In the end people will pay the same, if not more because, as they use their unfair trade practices to push insurance companies out of business, the size of the program will grow and so will the bill for it.

They can call it whatever they want as they try to spin it, they can give it whatever name they so choose, but in the end the consequences to the people are the same as they are left to pick up the bill, to foot the tab. Isn’t that always the way though. They use the worst sort of Orwellian doublespeak to foist their agenda on the people, hoping they will be oblivious just long enough for them to ram through whatever they want, and then they will pretend like we wanted it all along.

But then if we fall for their tricks, then the truth is we get exactly what we deserve. It is our duty to remain vigilant against their propaganda and to safeguard against it because they are always going to try tricks like this. Good to know they haven’t changed any of the plays out of the book yet though.

More from the United Nations

Well yeah, because they have the moral authority to investigate the human rights abuses of anybody. They completely bungled Rwanda during a genocide that lead to the deaths of 500,000 people, they passed resolution after resolution condemning the human rights abuses in Iraq, never bothering to do anything about it over that decade, they turned a blind eye to Darfur and countless other atrocities around the globe. But now, for the first time ever, they are going to investigate the so called human rights abuses in the United States.

Raquel Rolnik has been appointed by the United Nations to be Special Rapporteur. Her job? To investigate the human rights violations of the US in not providing enough affordable public housing in urban areas.

You really have to love how the United Nations, infringing on the sovereignty of a nation, decides to squander its resources. They aren’t out there actually ending gross violations that have lead to the countless deaths of others under persecution and oppression, they ignore how many nations that persecute and execute their own citizens but that’s okay, because they are investigating public housing in the United States.

I am not saying there isn’t a problem with public housing in the United States. It has been the shame of the government since Franklin Delano Roosevelt first started the program. They have proven themselves ill equipped to handle the need that is out there. The last thing the US needs though is the UN coming in with their holier than thou, self righteous arrogance, preaching that not enough is being done when they do remarkably little to hold up human rights around the world. More than that though, if we weren’t spending so much on foreign aid, on technology programs for the Middle East and to keep the UN afloat, perhaps we’d have the money to address the concerns that are out there. Yet with the deficit at record heights and the government seeking to expand the problem becomes that it is stretched too thin as it is.

Still, when the U.N. starts actually addressing their own problems with human rights maybe we should be more inclined to listen to them. In the meantime all we have to look at is their lousy track record as they try to make themselves politically relevant by imposing themselves on domestic policies in the United States, pretending as if it is the most pressing political concern out there.

When is enough going to be enough and we stop listening to this pointless toothless tiger of an organization that outlived their purpose well over a generation ago? All they do is squander the resources they have amidst their own corruption and pretend as if they have something valuable to contribute when the truth is they haven’t for a long, long time.

Not the Record Profits We Were Led to Believe

Well, when it comes to turning a huge profit, it turns out that it might just be a disingenuous argument that is put forward. I know, shocking, isn’t it? Nobody would have ever thought that the Democrats would put forward an inherently false argument to perpetuate their point… of course not.

They may not be going broke or showing up at the gates of the Government with their hands out looking for some kind of bailout like certain industries, but they aren’t the top industry for profits either. Despite the fact that we almost perpetually hear the myth of the fat cats in the insurance industry riding the backs of the people to turn a profit on their premiums, it turns out that they don’t show the record profits that the Administration and their allies claim that they do.

According to a new report, they barely crack 6 percent in their profit margins, falling behind Tupperware, Hershey’s and Yahoo. In their latest annual measures though they were only at two percent, as the threat of having to compete against the government has scared potential investors away.

It’s a pretty telling tale to say the very least. It would seem that they aren’t quite the ogres that the Democrats would all have us believe. What’s more is that it perhaps reveals a bit more about the government's plans.

Over the recent weeks and months we have heard a lot of talk about a trigger mechanism. That is that the insurance industry has to lower their premium prices, otherwise they will trigger a government run public option. It would seem that it would be impossible without hemorrhaging money and finding that their profit margins dry up as the companies are run into the ground.

In other words, all the trigger mechanism would then do is ensure that there would be government run, universal health care, because they just wouldn’t be able to meet the government standards.

Likewise, if the government offers the same plans at a fraction of the price they will be unable to compete because they would be unable to meet the prices that the government was setting. The unfair competition would push them right out of business as they found it impossible to come close to offering what the government was offering.

Now before we go saying that it is good, after all only the best should survive, consider this, if they are only showing two percent profits with the prices they charge, then the government program would be running a deficit with the premiums they plan to charge. Someone has to make up that discrepancy. This is especially the case if more and more people opt for the public option. The government will find that money in your wallet. In the end you will be paying the same, if not more, just through hidden premiums in the form of higher taxes.

But good to see they have our best interest at heart, really it is…

And the Myth Keeps Growing

Seriously, when are they going to stop with this whole “No, of course we aren’t going to raise taxes and no we’re not going to destroy the economy with our policies, but even if we did it would be for your own good” argument? It is getting tiresome to hear them use the same rhetoric over and over again, recycled for whatever case they are trying to make.

Yet again though it’s all about Global Warming, or Global Cooling, or Global Climate Change, or whatever it is that we are calling it this week. On Friday we were treated to yet another argument for the Crap and Trade Bill as our Fearless Leader took to the stage at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and perpetuated the myth that there is overwhelming scientific evidence to support this theory. Why? Because he needs an excuse to raise people’s taxes and there is no better one than arguing that if he doesn’t we are all going to die in a post apocalyptic Kevin Costner movie plot.

By his logic, apparently there is overwhelming scientific evidence to prove that Hummers and SUV’s were invented during the Ice Age to make the commute for the Saber Tooth Tiger and the Woolly Mammoth much more bearable. Never mind the fact that it falls into the natural evolutionary cycle of the planet every few thousand years.

Now I am not claiming that we are doing our planet any favors. We have hardly been good stewards of our resources. There is little denying that. But to go around, trying to pretend as if we don’t give the government a blank check to raise taxes and increase regulation we are all going to die is a bit of a shallow and hollow argument. Let’s face it, the overwhelming scientific evidence that the Great and Mighty Oz speaks of has been thoroughly disproven time and time again. Yet he and his supporters seem oblivious to that fact.

But then, as always, it’s about his agenda, everything else be damned as he does what he wants when he wants, and the rest of us are left to pay the price for it. Needless to say, it’s just more of the same as he spends his time working on pushing forward legislation that we don’t need rather than the solutions that we do need. But then, from all indications, that’s about the only thing they are good at besides making excuses about why nothing they do is their fault. When this legislation proves to be a massive flop that rides the backs of voters it will be no different.

But please, for the betterment of all of mankind, we beg of you, keep perpetuating these theories as your excuse to ram through your agenda…
